MINEOLA, N.Y. – Partners Executive Transportation announced that Guy Palumbo will now head its Business Development program. In the past two and a half years, he has served as director global operations, having developed the operations from less than 30 affiliate firms to more than 345 strategic partnerships located in all 50 states, 48 countries, and territories covering 630 destinations. He was also the key person on staff responsible for Partners Executive Transportation winning the 2008 Limousine Digest Industry IMAGE Award.

Palumbo will be the director business development while still overseeing Partners Executive Transportation worldwide in-house network of affiliates. His new duties are aimed at penetrating the company’s existing client base, assessment of marketing and branding opportunities, and new target markets. He will develop possible sales leads and activities, formal proposals, RFPs, strategic alliances, and development of presentations. He has been tasked with coordinating marketing, sales, continuation of branding, knowledge management, and working closely with the company’s Customer Service section. An ingredient of the overall business development will be the expansion of Internet marketing with vertical markets, and more usage of the web-based reservations system.

As part of Partners Executive Transportation ongoing success, Business Development requires a multi-disciplinary approach beyond just a “sale to a customer” approach. Sergio Sanchez, executive vice president, stated that for “a sound company to withstand competitors, our business development must never stop but is an ongoing process.”

Sanchez said that “Mr. Palumbo will also look to develop other value added concepts to provide our clients with real value and maintain our brand loyalty. In this tough economy we believe that business development is needed more than ever before and we have selected the right person to lead us in that direction.”
