United Limousine & Charter Using Electronic Signature Solution

Posted on November 12, 2008 by LCT Staff - Also by this author - About the author

ORLANDO, Fla. – AssureSign LLC's Biometric Electronic Signature Technology has been selected as the electronic signature solution by United Limousine & Charter, Inc., a ground transportation and limousine charter service that provides specialty limousine and charter bus rentals in Los Angeles and Orange County, Calif.

AssureSign is a Web-hosted service that facilitates the managed processing of documents in an all-digital, high-security environment. The patent-pending electronic signature software provides forensically identifiable evidence of contractual acceptance with digitized electronic signatures that can be matched for authentication in much the same way as a traditional signature.

AssureSign will help ULC ensure that all customers sign a Terms and Conditions document stating that all cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled charter are non-refundable. Once the document is signed, the reservations department and all other parties involved receive notification via email. This guarantees that customers do not cancel a reservation, resulting in lost revenue for ULC, according to the company's president, Brandon Jacobian.

"Customers would cancel their limo rental service after reserving the vehicle, and this would limit our availability for other customers," he said. "With AssureSign, we are guaranteed payment for all reservations, increasing our revenue by 15%, and lowering our liability by 75%."
