Two N.Y. Limousine Owners Being Sued by Attorney General

Posted on November 5, 2001 by LCT Staff - Also by this author - About the author

The New York State Attorney General is suing two limousine owners of seven upstate New York limousine companies for stranding paying customers.

Paul Meyer Jr., owner of American Limousine Service and Good Times Limousines, and Nicholas Masterpol Jr., owner of Pampered Limousine Co., CNY Limousine, Carey Syracuse, Carey Limousine and Masterpol Development Corp., are named in a suit that seeks more than $4,100 for 20 customers who have complained to the attorney general?s office.

The lawsuit claims that the companies were either late for scheduled pickups or did not show up at all. The suit also calls for $15,500 in civil penalties and court costs for an unspecified amount for customers likely to come forward. The owners refused to refund or return phone calls from disgruntled customers.
