High School Students Request Limos For Prom

Posted on October 20, 2004 by LCT Staff - Also by this author - About the author

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Yough High School students Kerry Herrick and Katie Roll asked the board to allow students to take limousines to and from the prom, which will be held at the Sheraton Station Square Hotel on Pittsburgh's South Side. High school Principal Earl Thompson advised the board against it, citing safety issues. He said it would be better to leave it that all students are required to ride buses.

He said the last time the prom was held in Pittsburgh, some students had to drive to and from the event because local limousine companies had all their vehicles booked.
