DEARBORN, Mich. — Ford Fleet Limousine & Livery Vehicles is pleased to announce the introduction of the livery industry's 1st OEM-sponsored Hybrid Livery Package (Option Code 47L) on the 2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid. Product Overview - The 2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid provides the following features:

Powertrain/Functional:

2.3L 4V I4 Atkinson Cycle engine

330V sealed nickel-metal hydride battery

Available intelligent AWD system

Brakes – power 4-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock braking system (ABS)

Electric power assisted steering (EPS)

Electronically-controlled continuously variable transmission (eCVT)

Permanent magnet electric motor

Regenerative braking system

Hybrid-unique 16" aluminum wheels with brushed aluminum center cap

Hybrid Seminar at LCT East

Ford’s Doug Walczak will be presenting a free “Hybrid Mariner 101 Seminar” during the LCT Eastern Conference at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9 at the Mohegan Sun, which will present details on the new livery package hybrid Ford Mariner. This is the first time that a chauffeured transportation industry show will offer a hybrid marketing session, and is an LCT exclusive.
