SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California Wine Tours, the largest touring and airport service in the California Wine Country, is adding hybrids and other alternative fuel vehicles to its fleet.
"Everyone's past the showiness of the limousine. But still having that chauffeured customer service goes a long way," said Count Jungles, a chauffeur for the company.
The decision comes in response to a growing segment, in mainly the corporate market, that is asking for green transportation while on business and leisure in the area.
"Big companies that come in for their corporate incentives here have been asking for the vehicles,” said Karen Dooley of California Wine Tours. “There are some green hotels in the area now and there are restaurants that are going green, so there is a demand in the market for the green fleet." The company says the increased fuel economy also helps its bottom line.
