Eco-Friendly Limo Company Opens Shop

SANTA MONICA, CALIF. -- Travelers thirsting for a newer, eco-friendlier way to get to LAX now have an alternative. Santa Monica-based ECO-LIMO began operation with its Toyota Prius fleet in December 2004.

Ms. "Y" Fray, the company’s owner and professional chauffeur with 20 years’ experience, founded her company as an alternative chauffeured transportation service to raise environmental awareness for cleaner air and decreased fuel dependency.

"I kept seeing limos getting bigger and bigger and thought that there has to be a happy medium for customers who care about the environment, but need to take advantage of a car service," said Y. "The Prius is the perfect choice."

The ECO-LIMO fleet currently offers 2005 Prius sedans and larger, clean-burning CNG Suburbans, both at competitive rates. All of its vehicles have tinted windows, are fully appointed with the amenities standard in most limousines and are professionally chauffeured.

ECO-LIMO plans to stretch a Prius and further expand its services by developing a worldwide network of similar eco-friendly, premium-chauffeured ground transportation providers.
