National Business Travel Association Awards Operator with Highest Honors

Posted on August 1, 2002 by LCT Staff - Also by this author - About the author

Dav El Chauffeured Transportation Network was named "Allied Member of the Year" by the National Business Travel Association (NBTA). Dav El joins the ranks of reputable travel-related companies such as Hilton Worldwide and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.

Scott Solombrino, Dav El president and CEO, was recognized at the 34th annual convention of the NBTA in Salt Lake City in July. Former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani and NBTA president Kevin Iwamoto presented Solombrino with the honor. "Scott Solombrino of Dav El Chauffeured Transportation Network embodies the spirit of professional excellence and sets the standard for top quality service, safety and customer satisfaction," Iwamoto explained. "NBTA is proud to have Dav El as a member and is delighted to recognize Mr. Solombrino's achievements," Iwamoto said.

In the limousine industry since 1978, Scott Solombrino built his company from a one-limousine operation into one of the largest chauffeured transportation services in the U.S.

"Luxury chauffeured ground transportation is one of the least understood areas of corporate travel, but nonetheless is beginning to play a much bigger role in corporate travel programs worldwide. It is a particular honor for me to accept this award on behalf of the 22,000 Dav El employees and company-owned franchises located throughout the world," Solombrino said.
