Frank Cunningham, founder of Phoenix Limousine and, subsequently, Carey Phoenix, passed away recently at the age of 64 after a lengthy illness. He leaves an industry legacy in the state of Arizona, if not the entire nation.
Cunningham?s memorial service included a 21-gun salute, as he was an ex-Marine, and a large limousine motorcade. "We had a limousine procession and it was fitting," said Steve Cunningham, son and CEO of Fox Limousine and Carey Phoenix. "Within the context of the industry, he played a lot of key roles. The industry was in its infancy in the '70s when he first got into it. It was in the '80s that it took off and he really rode the wave of that."
