NEW YORK CITY – Town Car International is improving utilization of fleet resources, reporting, and communication capabilities and sustainability programs (reducing idle and travel times) by installing Mobile Data Terminals capable of auto dispatch, GPS tracking, and vehicle status reporting, the company says. "Utilizing Digital Dispatch Systems' iPilot 8000 mobile computers and communications infrastructure with GT3's Odyssey software, on a public data network, we automated dispatch functionality with the ability to customize and match driver assignments or requests to specific categories of accounts and users of Town Car International, providing a higher level of customer service to our clients in an automated environment," said Apurva Patel, IT system designer. "By utilizing best-of-class software by our technology partners, we have built a customizable platform to deliver better on time performance, safety, and immediate billing and information resources, for Town Car International clients to manage their ground transportation at very competitive price points."

"TCI has integrated with many of the consolidating reservation, and reporting portals utilized by Town Car's corporate accounts for ground travel arrangement, billing, and spend management, while at the same time offering our website to the individual and other corporate clients for travel arrangements, billing and reporting. In addition, TCI is connected to reservation distribution systems available in the travel industry," added Ravi Shah, TCI's IT manager.

"Our technology sets us apart, enabling us to consistently deliver on our claim of being Corporate America's Worldwide Ground Transportation Solution," said Russ Cooke, President and CEO of Town Car International. "With strategic investments, partnerships & acquisitions in the near future, we are in an expansion mode worldwide and our technology system plays a critical role in scaling our business."

"It is very important we provide our customers with the best technology available," said Mark Susmin, TCI's Director of Sales. "TCI has installed the GPS-enabled iPilot 8000 in our vehicles, drivers have a navigation system and dispatchers can see the location of vehicles or track the ride. With the iPilot 8000(TM)'s integrated magnetic card swipe, passengers can swipe credit cards in the car and immediately get receipts by email or fax. Our technology, provides customers with a complete 'in-car solution.'"
