NOBLESVILLE, IND. -- A man stole a limousine that was left
with its motor running after an Aerosmith concert June 8 in
Indianapolis. Jeremy E. Wright, 24, of Goodland, Ind.,
jumped into the limo just as the concert at the Verizon
Wireless Music Center was ending, the Hamilton County
sheriff's office said. As Wright drove off in the limo,
which was registered to Executive Limousine in
Indianapolis, another limo driver called police.
Officers chased the limo north for four miles until Wright
lost control of the vehicle on a curve. The limo came to a
stop in a cornfield, where the suspect got out and ran. A
police officer shot him with a stun gun and arrested him.
Wright was checked out at a hospital and then taken to
Hamilton County Jail, where he was held under $21,000 bond
on charges that include auto theft, resisting arrest,
driving while intoxicated and public intoxication.
