Classique Limousines Joins Up with Green Ride Globa

LOS ANGELES – Classique Limousines (www.classiquelimo.com), based in Orange, Calif., has embarked on an aggressive environmental sustainability program to reduce the environmental footprint of all aspects of their business, including “the greening” of their executive ground transportation fleet. Using the services of Green Ride Global, a North-American firm which provides environmental sustainability programs for the transportation industry, Classique has committed to annually reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through fuel efficiency, the transition to new technologies, reduced electricity use, waste diversion, recycling programs, and employee education.

Classique – who has been a Green Ride Global member since March of this year and was the first GRG member in the Los Angeles area – is not attempting to deflect focus from the emissions expelled by their core business. Instead, Classique has committed to the annual reduction of their emissions and offers detailed and explicatory reports to their customers about the emissions produced by both their fleet and facilities.

“Coming out of the LCT show, we realized that the green movement is only ramping up in speed,” says President and CEO of Classique Limousines, Kevin Illingworth. “As our clients – both corporate and retail – learn more about the effects of global warming, they are going to look for environmentally sustainable options in their transportation. People want to reduce their environmental footprint, and when they choose Classique, they are decreasing their environmental impact.”

The environmental sustainability strategy being adopted by Classique is considered the high-road among environmentalists. “What some companies are calling a ‘green fleet’ merely consists of parking a hybrid on their lot,” says Justin Raymond, President and CEO of Green Ride Global. “However, what Classique is doing is really addressing climate change by transforming their business accordingly and committing to reduce their emissions at source.”

Classique had previously taken steps toward improved environmental health by starting the move to a paperless office and monitoring the electrical output from their facilities, but needed to find a solution that would impact their entire operation – particularly the emissions expelled from their luxury fleet. In response, Green Ride Global developed a custom Sustainability Roadmap that will influence all facets of Classique Limousine’s business and will substantiate their hold as a ground transportation leader in the notably eco-focused Los Angeles market.
