DENVER — The chauffeur of the limousine that ran over Denver high school student Molly Bloom last year was ordered to serve 150 hours of community service at the Veterans Administration Hospital. Following a recent plea agreement, 38-year-old Stanley Sample will serve no jail time and was put on six months of unsupervised probation.
“I want to say I think it is fair,” said Bloom. She lost her leg and part of her hip and pelvis after Sample pulled away from the curb while she was getting into a Hummer limousine after prom. Bloom’s attorney said his client is happy with the agreement because Sample will spend his community service helping injured people who have suffered severe war wounds.
