TORRANCE, CALIF. — The LCT Eastern Conference, a two-day trade-only event for the limousine industry sponsored by LCT Magazine, announces its North East Association Pavilions, which will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13.

Five major regional trade organizations including NELA, NSLA/LILA, PRLA, LANJ and VLA/WMLA will be conducting Open House presentations concerning permits, taxes and airport regulations affecting everyday business within the local markets. Presentations will also provide new information on what associations are doing to protect member business interests.

All conference attendees are invited and encouraged to attend this special educational platform. Both association members and non-members will benefit from the industry awareness offered by these influential organizations.

Association representatives, who are prepared to answer any questions, will staff a large information table in the foyer where refreshments will be served. Key board members from each association will conduct presentations on strategic plans, goals and other relevant programs that are currently in the works.

Some groups will hold formal meetings while others will opt for receptions, luncheons or educational presentations by professional speakers. NELA will offer a credit-card processing clinic sponsored and given by Suzanne Connors of First Data Merchant Services, a subsidiary of First Data Corporation, the world’s largest processor of credit-card transactions and a specialist in tailoring credit-card acceptance programs to the specific needs of any business. LANJ will promote its state-by-state captive insurance program. VLA will join with WMLA to promote uniform standards for insurance, chauffeurs and vehicle inspections in the Virginia, Maryland and Metro D.C. jurisdictions, which will allow chauffeurs to operate in all of these areas. PRLA will discuss its dealings with the Philadelphia parking authority and how it’s working to aid the limousine industry in the tri-state area.

All of the venues will offer ample opportunities to learn about the member benefits of each industry association in a convenient all-inclusive afternoon.

Business viability depends on knowledge of local limousine policies. The Association Pavilions are yet another important opportunity to gain valuable industry knowledge during the LCT Eastern Conference.
