Manheim Holds Unique Sale for Ford, Linclon-Mercury Dealers

MIAMI – Manheim recently hosted a unique sale open only to Ford and Lincoln-Mercury dealers at its Lauderdale-Miami Auto Auction center. Close to 700 Ford vehicles, including more than 300 vehicles of particular interest to the taxi and livery industries, were auctioned off.

Unlike other Manheim sales, the Nov. 11 event was the first to include inventory of interest to a specific industry. A mix of more than 676 Ford vehicles included more than 300 Town Cars, Crown Victorias and Grand Marquis.

About 98.4 percent of the featured vehicles were sold. More than 140 Ford and Lincoln-Mercury dealers attended the event, while 41 dealerships participated via Simulcast.

“This test sale went off without a hitch,” said Allan Wilwayco, LMAA general manager. “Several dealers turned out for the event and they were enthusiastic about the taxi and livery vehicles. We hope to host similar sales in the near future.”
