Orange County Operator Turned Santa Claus Changes Lives

Posted on December 20, 2006 by LCT Staff - Also by this author - About the author

SANTA ANA, CALIF. — Bobby Atkins, owner of Atkins Livery in Newport Beach has been playing Santa to hundreds of Orange County kids since 1994. With the help of clients and friends, his non-profit operation, Bobby’s North Pole Livery, answers letters to Santa sent to the Santa Ana post office by less fortunate children. Atkins devotes the month of December to making those requests happen for 100 of those needy children.

Bobby’s North Pole Livery has provided everything from Christmas trees and bicycles, to money, food, and even cars to local children and their families. In one case, Atkins provided medication and doctors to an ill child. Going from house to house in a limousine on Christmas Eve, Atkins fulfills the Christmas dreams he says never came true for him.
