Attitude New York Chauffeured Transportation in New York was given a commendation in April from TLC Commissioner Matthew Daus in honor of Operation Free Trans-portation. This service was provided to bereaved families during the 9-11 tragedy, and whenever the TLC prevailed upon the local community to help provide transportation.

?Many families came to the Family Assistance Center in New York,? said Jeffrey Rose, owner of Attitude New York. ?Many of them had to identify remains, or get death certificates. It was pure misery. The TLC asked the livery industry for help. Mostly the call went out to the black car industry.?

Rose knew there would be larger groups of family members needing transportation that wouldn?t fit into a sedan and wouldn?t want to be separated. ?We?re not too far from the help center and we sent several stretch limousines over there. We were thinking, as miserable as this experience has to be for them we?d do anything we could to make it somewhat nicer. We?re one of the few limousine services still based in Manhattan, so we participate in these things whenever we can.?
