MARRLTON, N.J. — The National Limousine Association (NLA), through the philanthropic arm of its Harold Berkman Memorial Fund, announced plans to donate $25,000 to Rebuilding Together New Orleans.
The pledge will permit a New Orleans home ravished by Hurricane Katrina to be renovated and made livable once again. Work on the house — much of it volunteer labor — will take place January 21-24.
NLA director Tom Mulligan (Metropolitan Limousines, Chicago, Ill.), who recommended that the NLA take on the project, will be among the unpaid helpers as will NLA director Barbara Curtis (Two Step Limousines, Littleton, Colo.).
During the past year, donations from the Harold Berkman Memorial Fund have also been made to Air Charity Network (formerly Angel Flight America) and the Alliance for Lupus Research.
