Programmer Erik Bensen will head an effort to redevelop and redesign key FASTTRAK software products. He also worked on the first FASTTRAK software release in 1999.

PHOENIX -- FASTTRAK Technologies LLC, a Windows based developer of software for the limousine and livery industries, has added a new member to its technology development team.

FASTTRAK has initiated a program to re-develop and design its  reservation, dispatch and billing software program and suite of ancillary integrated product solutions, said Eddie McCoy, president/founder of FASTTRAK. Erik Bensen, a 16-year veteran programmer and software engineer, has been selected to head up the development effort.

Ironically, when FASTTRAK was first introduced to the chauffeured transportation industry in 1999, Bensen worked for a Tempe, Ariz.-based firm and headed that original development of the very first FASTTRAK release.

"Although working for various software development firms over the past decade, Erik has remained a valuable resource for the company during that time," McCoy said.

Bensen has had exposure to a variety of business areas including chauffeured transportation, manufacturing, project-based consulting, commercial and internal software development, financial hedge fund, game development and CRM while mastering skills including C#, .NET 1.1 - 3.5, winforms, ASP.NET, ASP, web services / WCF, e-commerce, object-oriented programming (OOP), SQL Server, XML-related technologies, software globalization/localization, Active Reports and Crystal Reports.

"Erik's skills and background coupled with the fact that he was the original developer of FASTTRAK, made him the logical choice to head this project," McCoy said.

The new design of FASTTRAK will be introduced at the upcoming Fall LimoDigest Show in Atlantic City, NJ in 2010 and the LCT Show in Las Vegas in early 2011.
