One of Southern California's largest chauffeured transportation operators takes key steps to reducing its carbon footprint and meeting the evironmental expectations of corporate clients.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. -- All aspects of Best Chauffeured Worldwide's business operations are being measured, monitored and reported on by Toronto-based Green Ride Global, the leading green consultancy for the chauffeured transportation industry and foremost authority on industry green issues.

Best Chauffeured is on track to create a 20% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions during the next five years,  and has the capabilities to produce emissions reports for all clients.

The carbon cuts are made possible by a comprehensive company-wide environmental sustainability program that is independently verified through GRG. GRG oversees and supports Best's ongoing implementation of environmental initiatives as the operator transforms all areas of its operation to reduce its environmental footprint.

The program is ISO 14001 compliant, which means that Best has the assurances of international best practices in the reduction of the environment impact of each trip.

The first phase of the program includes measuring baseline greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and establishing significant annual emissions reduction targets.

Best's sustainability plan includes long-term strategies to minimize the carbon footprint through reductions in fuel consumption, energy use, and waste. It is committed to reducing the GHG emissions associated with its fleet and facilities by 20% to 30% over the next five to 10 years.

As a value-added service, Best is capable of providing annual reports showing its Scope 3 GHG emissions related to ground transportation usage.
