Luxury vehicles are not among them. Operators should hold out for the day when at least half the list includes large, premium vehicles.

Only one car on this year's list can be taken seriously as a chauffeured vehicle - the Ford Fusion Hybrid, and that's only if it is stretched six inches by Royale Limousine Manufacturers. Another one, the Toyota Camry Hybrid, is borderline acceptable for limousine luxury transportation.

The chauffeured transportation industry needs to stick to large luxury green vehicles and continue to collectively hold out for such vehicles that eventually will deliver more fuel economy while giving up nothing in amenities or size compared to gasoline models.

That day will come as technology and innovation eventually solve problems and catch up to demand.

Meanwhile, don't sell out to compacts or sub-compacts because the green movement thinks we should have to put up with less.
