The greener mid-size hybrid sedan gets gas mileage comparable to a Toyota Prius.

WALTHAM, Mass. - Harrison Global Transportation (HGT), a premier transportation provider, recently added Ford Fusion Hybrid sedans to its chauffeured fleet.

The decision to add the Ford Fusion Hybird was based not only on requests from its corporate clients, but also on the company's own "green" initiatives. The hybrid model bought by Harrison is not the same one made by Royale Limousine Manufacturers of Haverhill, Mass.

"Meeting our corporate clients' needs is absolutely our number one priority," said David Marcou, Jr., president and CEO of Harrison Global Transportation. "However, adding a hybrid solution is a decision that provides flexibility to our clients and one that will have the greatest environmental impact."

In an interview with LCT, Marcou said the Fusion is the company's first foray into hybrid vehicles. "We looked at Camrys and Priuses, but they were just so small," Marcou said. "Our clients want a nice vehicle too.That's what they get out of the Ford Fusion."

Harrison Global Transportation will incorporate 10 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid Sedans as part of the company's chauffeured services and will additionally include all passenger amenities for this service level.

Harrison Global chose the Ford Fusions based on ratings and reviews. The Fusion Hybrid boasts the highest EPA rated fuel economy car in addition to offering style and comfort. Its mileage rivals that of the much smaller compact Toyota Prius.

Most importantly, idle or wait time is in battery mode. The new hybrids will join the company's fleet of Lincoln Executive L sedans, SUVs, limousines and vans. 

Customers will receive the same level of service and amenities they've become used to but will now leave a green footprint. Marcou adds, "We are excited to offer this new level of service to our customers and hope the environmentally friendly choice is a positive, long term success"
