GPS Insight Reveals Posted Speed Limit Report Feature to Its GPS Tracking Software

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - GPS Insight, a supplier of GPS tracking hardware and software solutions for commercial and government fleets, has announced the release of its Posted Speed Limit Report and Posted Speed Graphs and histograms to help identify reckless driving patterns for its customers.

This enhanced Speeding Report lets management know where drivers are driving fast or slow relative to the actual or most likely speed limit. It comes with graphing enhancements which allow customers to easily graph both long term trends and the 30 minutes before and after the speeding event. One click instantly maps that 60 minute period of time to better understand the context of the speeding activity.

Robert Donat, President of GPS Insight, said, "With this enhancement to GPS Insight, customers can now easily rank their drivers in terms of aggressive driving patterns, and drill down instantly to exact whereabouts of excessive speed incidents. Using Street View, our customers can also easily visualize the road conditions present and even ratify the data by looking for a speed limit sign. GPS Insight now allows our customers to crunch up to three months worth of driving data at a time to provide an unquestionably accurate determination of both aggressive drivers, and drivers who may be intentionally extending their drive time to gain more overtime. We expect this to be one of the most valuable additions to the GPS Insight product ever developed."

Future enhancements will include manual street speed limit overrides where there may be discrepancies or recent speed limit changes.
