Bus Group Offers Real-Time Event Info Via Smart Phones

Posted on November 17, 2009

The American Bus Association has forged a partnership with TripBuilder EventMobile for the Capital Region Marketplace 2010 that will provide delegates with a free tool using innovative mobile event trade show technology to make more efficient use of their time.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — TripBuilder EventMobile combines event-specific information in a user-friendly format for any type of Web-enabled mobile "Smart phones," with no special settings or downloads required. The product features up-to-the-minute event information, text alerts, advanced mapping, and TripBuilder's unique "Build MyBooth List" tool.

The technology is ideal for attendees to the American Bus Association's premiere group travel and motorcoach show being held at the Gaylord National Resort Hotel and Convention Center in National Harbor, MD on Jan. 15-19, 2010.

Marketplace delegates also will benefit from features such as access to daily schedules, a searchable exhibitor list, information on evening networking events and more. And EventMobile's "Build MyFloorPlan" function enables attendees to easily plan their time on the show floor.

"ABA is always looking for ways to make Marketplace more efficient and cost-effective for delegates, and we're impressed with how easy it will be for anyone from operator to hotelier to use this handy tool," said ABA President & CEO Peter Pantuso, CTIS. "Our delegates expect Marketplace to offer more every year, and TripBuilder EventMobile is a new technology that can make every delegate's Marketplace experience more profitable."

ABA Senior VP for Meetings, Education & Member Services Lynn Brewer added, "TripBuilder EventMobile also offers ABA the ability to easily communicate with our attendees during the hustle and bustle of Marketplace. And TripBuilder's unique 'Build MyBooth List' function will help delegates get the most from their time on the Marketplace show floor. TripBuilder is an ideal fit for ABA and our members' needs."

TripBuilder Executive VP Steven D. Tanzer said, "Event attendees benefit by receiving valuable event and real-time updates on their handhelds. Exhibitors benefit by having a variety of new, cost-effective ways to deliver their promotional messages. And event organizers are able to offer a new technology that enhances the overall experience."
