ASA Launches New Advanced DVD Player For Bus Industry

Posted on November 10, 2009

12V Player has features to improve safety, convenience, and entertainment in bus applications.

ELKHART, IN - Safety, convenience, and entertainment. These three words make a dynamic combination, as well as sum up what the new Jensen DVD player brings to the bus industry.

The bus experts at ASA Electronics, an international manufacturer and supplier of mobile audio and video electronics, have introduced the new DVDB01 12-Volt DVD player to their Jensen bus entertainment product lineup.

The Jensen DVDB01 DVD player is an innovative DIN mount player that can be installed in the dash of a bus. This is an important key feature that makes it safe and easy for the driver to control DVD functions right from their seat. It is also available with a custom mounting "sleeve" (Jensen DVDB01M) for additional mounting options such as in the luggage rack or overhead compartment. It has an easy-to-read, positive colored LCD screen for improved daylight viewing and an On-Screen-Display menu for trouble-free status readout and settings control.

The Jensen DVDB01 also offers enhanced convenience by being compatible with all Jensen PA/DVD systems, including the Jensen PADIN4 & PADIN5 PA/DVD controllers. The DVDB01 plays both DVDs and CDs, has front and rear A/V inputs, and includes a full-function wireless remote. In addition, the DVDB01 is compatible with all Jensen LCD TV/monitor remotes and Jensen MWR75 wired remote, making it that much easier to build an all-inclusive, unified bus entertainment system.

Additional features of the DVDB01 include a clock, easy-to-use front controls, including volume and mute, and parental lock which eliminates the opportunity for passenger interference.

As with all Jensen audio and video bus electronics, each unit is specifically designed to endure vibrations, humidity, and temperature fluctuations commonly encountered while out on the road. No more concern over damaging equipment in less than stable environments. The Jensen DVDB01 12-Volt DVD Player by ASA Electronics offers everything the bus industry needs in a DVD player, with the addition of forward-thinking features that improve durability, convenience, and safety to drivers and passengers alike.

Since 1977, ASA Electronics has been an international manufacturer/supplier of mobile electronics to the shuttle, mid-size, provost, coach, and school bus industries.
