Red Oak Set To Save 56% In Maintenance Costs

Posted on April 1, 2009

VALHALLA, N.Y.SOMS Technologies LLC, a provider of engine oil filtration products, has supplied Red Oak Transportation of White Plains, N.Y., with its microGreen engine oil filter for Red Oak’s fleet of 48 limousines.

By extending the life of engine oil, the patented filter allows Red Oak’s vehicles to operate up to 30,000 miles without an oil change — saving the company 56% in related maintenance costs. While many eco-friendly products require a significant initial cost, which is recouped slowly over time, the microGreen filter has a fast payoff period, providing Red Oak with significant cost savings and immediate environmental benefits.

Red Oak Transportation services residents and travelers in Westchester County and the metropolitan New York area. The company chose the microGreen filter for its ability to provide an excellent return on investment. Using the microGreen oil filter, Red Oak Transportation decreases its overall maintenance costs while helping protect the environment by using 3,696 less quarts of oil and 288 less oil filters per year.
