The Toyota Century sedan, Japan’s number one vehicle for chauffeured transportation, has been redesigned for, the first time in three years. Although Toyota’s flagship vehicle boasts a new engine and a complete redesign, the new Century looks much like the version that debuted 30 years ago.
Its V-8 has been replaced with a newly developed 50-liter V-12 engine that, according to Toyota, “provides some of the smoothest power available in a luxury sedan.” Additionally, there is increased handling stability resulting from chassis improvements, the anti-lock braking system, and the traction-control system.
Further, Toyota has increased the rigidity of major components and precisely manufactured moving components to ensure a quieter ride.
The Century luxury sedan also features interior wood paneling, seat covers made with Jacquard woolen fabric and leather, and a full multimedia system.
