An Industry Evolving

It is the nature of any business that change will occur on a regular basis. An Integral part of doing business, in the limousine service field or any other, is realizing that your operation should by no means remain static. This sense of dynamism at work was clearly evident in the Informal survey we conducted of limousine agencies across the country. The business environment for the limousine service industry is indeed changing.

The marketplace, however, is not evolving in the same manner or the same tempo uniformly across the country. Genuine regional differ­ences exist. In some major metro­politan areas, a good deal of educa­tion still needs to take place in order to relate the fact to the individual and corporate consumer that the luxury of being chauffeured in a limousine is indeed affordable. In other well devel­oped markets, where the competition is keen, consumers’ tastes or trans­portation needs may be in a slight flux, but the implications of such changes reverberate tremendously through agencies in those particular markets.

At the most elemental level, the product itself – the limousine – is changing.
