A Shift in Gears

Posted on July 1, 1983 by Ty Bobit, LCT Publisher

Only a few months ago the people at Retailing Today developed an idea into a tangible publication, Limousine & Chauffeur. The reception it received lent strong support to the fact that communications were indeed needed in this vital segment of the transportation market. We felt positive of this when David Heinzman and Ann Stanley discussed the idea with us well before the initial issue in April and because of our recent purchase of Limousine & Chauffeur, we obviously still share that innate enthusiasm.

Our company is a professional in the trade publishing business. Twenty-two years ago we started with Automotive Fleet and since then have expanded in the transportation area and more recently into medical and retailing. Our staff of editors know how to communicate and how to bring you news that will inform and save you money in your operation. Our circulation staff is totally computerized for uninterrupted delivery. That same computer also makes certain that your use of the Reader Service Card will bring you answers in a rapid fashion.

As associate publisher of Automotive Fleet, my experience has helped me gain a knowledge of the coachbuilders and their relationships with the corporate limousine buyers.  My new responsibilities will expand these interests into every corner of the limousine market. I welcome your suggestions and ideas to make every issue a bellringer. One thing is compellingly clear; we need the support in advertising from the entire marketplace to continue producing a quality publication serving this vertical segment. We are happy to make this investment to earn your support and will remain dedicated to a commitment of better value and reporting in each bi-monthly issue. That’s a promise.
