Every new year usually means a slew of new resolutions. People promise to work out more, spend more time with their families, payoff all their credit card debts, etc. We here at LCT are no exception. However, our resolution is to continue bringing you informative editorial that will both help you make money and save money.
As you read through the pages of this issue, you will notice some changes. Some departments are missing, while new ones have taken their place. This is in an effort to give you more helpful information and insight into the travel and transportation industries that associate with the luxury transportation industry.
The departments that have left are: ?Ask Dr. Limo,? ?Business Book Review? and ?Test Your Skills.? However, ?Test Your Skills? will be appearing on the lctmag.com Web site as an interactive page where you will be able to answer the questions online. You will also be able to print a copy of the questions in order to test your staff.
The departments that have taken the vacancies are: ?10 Minutes with?? This department will profile and interview business leaders and key figures in the travel, hospitality, entertainment and transportation industries. This is aimed at helping you to better understand how our industry is perceived and how other related industries can help you do business. We will also be providing expanded versions of these interviews on our Web site. Look for the link that reads ?15 minutes with?? in the next couple of months.
Another department that will be filling the vacancy is one from LCT?s past. We are bringing back ?Better Letters? and ?Forms for Success? on an alternating basis. These two departments will showcase a form or letter that an operator currently uses in his or her business day. It will highlight some key areas of the document that are important. This department is geared to help operators by showing them what other successful operators are using, and provide them with ideas for creating or adding to the documents they are currently using.
In addition to the departmental changes, we have also expanded our Marketplace. It includes a few more products as well as an increased ?Industry Buzz? section and a profile of a bus manufacturer.
Also, you may have noticed the Table of Contents was changed beginning in the November issue. We did this in an effort to group the stories by subject in order to help you find the topics that you need. We have also changed the name of our ?Letters? page to ?Dispatches.?
All of these changes show our commitment to provide you with the information that you need to know in order to help your business be successful. Unlike most of our personal New Year?s resolutions, LCT?s resolution of being committed to inform and help our readers, will not fall by the wayside.
