LCT Leadership Summit Speakers Announced

Posted on May 23, 2012

TORRANCE, Calif. — Guest speakers for the 2012 LCT Leadership Summit will include Gautam Jain, Billy Sheehan, Bill Taylor, and Joe Yazbeck.

Guatam Jain has dedicated almost two decades to full time study of the philosophy of Vedanta, whose goal is to “equip one with clarity of intellect to deal with the challenges of life.” He heads the efforts of the Vedanta Cultural Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to Vendanta and self-management education programs.

Jain has presented seminars on self-management to the Young President’s Organization, Entrepreneur’s Organization, Goldman Sachs, IBM, AT&T, Columbia University, Princeton University and M.I.T. He has been featured on ABC and PBS for his work on the subject.

Vedanta addresses the following topics:

  • Principles of stress management.
  • The science of productivity.
  • The essence of leadership.
  • The technique of time management.
  • Work ethics for corporate governance.

Billy Sheehan is an executive health strategist who works with time-challenged professionals to improve their exercise, nutrition and stress management. He has over 25 years of fitness industry experience. He has achieved national recognition as a respected speaker and trusted authority on the pursuit of professional excellence through physical fitness. Sheehan is Health and Fitness Specialist certified by the American College of Sports Medicine and a member of the IDEA Health and Fitness Association.

Bill Taylor is a writer, speaker and entrepreneur who has helped shape the global conversation about the best ways to compete, innovate and succeed. His latest project, Practically Radical: Not-So-Crazy Ways to Transform Your Company, Shake Up Your Industry, and Challenge Yourself, is based on in-depth access to 25 organizations that are making deep-seated changes under trying circumstances. These organizations are mastering a set of strategies and practices that define the work of leadership in turbulent times—ideas from which every leader can learn.

Taylor is a graduate of Princeton University and was the cofounder and founding editor of award-winning business magazine FastCompany. In less than six years, an enterprise that took shape in some borrowed office space in Harvard Square sold for $340 million. He now writes a popular management blog for Harvard Business Review.

Joe Yazbeck is the creator of the “Executive Grooming Program” and hosted the nationally syndicated TV show, BusinessWise. He has delivered over 3,000 presentations, seminars, training programs, workshops, lectures and keynote addresses.

Yazbeck is a true professional coach in the purest sense of the word, and he combines the ingredients of creativity, stage presence and impact communication techniques with successful tools of executive competence resulting in a dynamic leader with the capability of being the accepted authority in his or her chosen field.
