Caesars President and CEO Mark Frissora told the gathering of media, VIPs and on other dignitaries that the center already is responsible for an increase of 90,000 advance room bookings for the upcoming 12 months compared to 7,000 advance room bookings for the previous 12 month. To date, 97 meetings have been booked at the Waterfront Center, which overlooks the scenic Marina and Absecon Bay.

“The 10,000 square foot facility is now the largest conference-hotel complex from Baltimore to Boston, where guests can meet, eat and sleep all under one roof,” Frissora said. The facility can accommodate up to 5,000 attendees, and has the flexibility to convert from meetings, to banquets to large assembly spaces. In addition, the center has its own banquet kitchen to provide high quality, fresh cuisine and beverage service to attendees. Harrah’s Resort can accommodate 2,500 guests offering full casino, numerous restaurant, activities and entertainment.

“This is a game changer for the city,” noted Mayor Don Guardian, who is spearheading initiative to turn the city from a gaming-only destination to a major resort and corporate event destination. Hotel officials are banking on the fact that Harrah’s is conveniently located within driving distance of one-third of the nation’s population, combined with the close proximity of the Atlantic City International Airport to draw more tourists and conventions to spark the rebirth of the city.
