“Storyteller” CEO Lined Up As Keynoter At 2012 ILCT Show

Posted on July 13, 2011

Peter Guber, CEO of the Mandalay Entertainment Group, will bring a message on storytelling to the annual global trade show.

TORRANCE, Calif. — Great storytelling is more than just entertainment; it is a highly powerful and vastly underused professional business tool.

Entrepreneurs, executives, and business owners throughout the chauffeured transportation industry can learn more about the concept from Peter Guber, Chairman and CEO of Mandalay Entertainment Group, a multimedia entertainment company he founded in 1995 that is focused on motion pictures, television, sports entertainment and new media. He also is author of the bestseller, Tell To Win.

Guber’s presentation, called Tell to Win: Storytelling for Business Success, is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 13, 2012 at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, site of the 2012 International LCT Show. His principles can apply to the executive, entrepreneur, sales manager, marketing and communications expert, artist, consultant, inventor, HR professional, or assistant.

During the entertaining, enlightening, and informative keynote presentation, “Story Man” Peter Guber will share his methodology of how to employ the power of the oral story to: sell more products and services; lead more persuasively; manage more effectively; inspire greater creativity; foster deeper collaboration; rebrand your product or company; communicate change; generate viral advocacy for your vision or mission; and overcome resistance.

Before founding Mandalay Entertainment, Guber served as Chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment, Inc., the television and film production and distribution unit of Sony from 1989 to 1995, and co-founded Guber-Peters Entertainment Group in 1983, which was acquired by Sony Pictures Entertainment in 1989.

Guber also co-founded Polygram Entertainment in 1979, and served as its Chairman and CEO until 1983, co-founded Casablanca Records & Filmworks, Inc., in 1975, and was a member of senior management and Studio Chief of Columbia Pictures Corporation, from 1968 to 1975.

Guber's personal production film credits include motion pictures that are well known by consumers worldwide, including Midnight Express, The Color Purple, Missing, American Werewolf in London, Gorillas in the Mist, Rain Man and Batman.
