LCT Details Schedule and Sessions For Eastern Conference

Posted on April 15, 2009 by LCT Staff - Also by this author - About the author

TORRANCE, Calif. — LCT Magazine Publisher Sara Eastwood-McLean has detailed the conference agenda for LCT East, the industry’s leading East Coast event that will be held at the Mohegan Sun Resort and Casino in Uncasville, Conn.

Mission Possible will be this year’s show theme since it emphasizes the need for operators to stand up to the challenges and to changes both within the industry and without.

The LCT East program gives limousine and charter operators the opportunity to network and gain business, and learn from experts how to increase sales and secure new opportunities.

Additionally, a groundbreaking new networking venue has been arranged which is unprecedented in this industry.

Day One (morning)

The seminar line up focuses on sales and marketing. Start by gaining knowledge from experts in sales training on how to open doors and close sales. The program looks at three tiers of sales information. The first tier will give you a core education on sales techniques to close accounts and grow your business. The second tier will teach you how to open doors with major accounts. It looks at strategies to get you in the door and get the business. The third tier looks at growth markets; those still purchasing charter and luxury service in a big way. It shows you how to find them and how to grab that coveted business.

Move next to marketing your business. Track one asks, Are you doing everything you can to gain exposure for your company? Learn techniques to promote your company without major outlays of cash. Our second track looks at packages that sell. An industry panel will reveal their secrets for maintaining price integrity while closing sales. Learn the tricks of putting together packages that will make your customers spend money.

Close out the morning learning to create a buzz for your company. LCT seminars will teach you to make your clients your best salespeople. The first track will give you practical ideas to take back and apply immediately to your business so that you can remain close to your clients. The second track will show you how to create that WOW factor. This seminar will teach you to differentiate and enhance your services in ways that no one else in the industry has done.

Speed Dating (business style)

If the first morning’s program isn’t enough, jump in feet first to the speed networking program. Take the opportunity to get face time with companies who have business and are using services across the U.S. and Canada. Hone your elevator routine. Can you sell your services and differentiate yourself so that you are remembered in two minutes? This fun networking event will give you the opportunity to meet companies that look for operators in your area. Where else can you get face time one-on-one with major networks? This unprecedented event will be talked about for years to come. Be there and be seen!

Think Tanks

Back by popular demand are the Think Tanks. Work in small groups with industry peers discussing topics pertinent to your business. The topics are open. Bring your thoughts. Bring your questions. Bring an open mind.

Legislative Review

Round out the day with a legislative regulatory panel that brings together the people who are governing our industry to tell us what is happening and what we can expect from them. Hear your regulators speak to you about your business.

Canadian Status Review

We listened to our Canadian operators to the north and put together a seminar specifically geared to them. A Canadian industry panel will discuss the state of the industry and issues facing Canadian operators.

Opening reception and exhibits

See the products and services you need to run your business on LCT East’s exhibit floor while enjoying our hosted opening reception in the exhibit hall.

Party on

End the day networking after hours with your fellow industry members at a vendor hosted event.

Day Two

Day two packs in more of the punch. Seminars start with business skill training. Again, the program is broken into three parts. The first looks at the tools you need to prioritize and make decisions under pressure. The second tier teaches you to develop emotional intelligence and the third shows you how to rescue your personal credit rating.

Following that, we are bringing in an expert economist to tell you the real deal. He will help explain what the “new normal” is. Learn what really is happening out there in terms we all understand.

Keynote

We are keeping the keynote speaker a surprise for now. You won’t want to miss this individual though. Nowhere else in the industry will you gain the insights of a respected business person who will tell you how he manages survival in these tough economic times. Watch Driving Force for an announcement in a subsequent issue.

Roundtables

Our roundtables will focus on bus management, wedding business, RFPs, and web optimization. Get the inside scoop from people in the know.

Exhibits

Speak one-on-one with the suppliers who deliver the products that help you in running your business. Discover from the experts what products are available to make you more money and become more efficient in your operation.

Register now for this much anticipated event. Your mission is possible. Success is imminent, but only for those who come. Click here to visit the LCT website for information on LCT East.
