VISALIA, Calif. - The driver of a bus carrying 15 passengers to a wine-tasting tour was injured when the bus collided with a truck-trailer rig earlier this morning in west Tulare County.

Other than the driver, who was transported to an undisclosed local hospital by ambulance for what appeared to be an injury to his left shoulder, no other injuries were reported, witnesses and California Highway Patrol officers said at the scene.

The black Touch of Class Limousine Service bus was headed west on Avenue 248, about five miles west of Tulare, when it struck a white pickup truck and trailer — traveling south on Road 68 — around 9:15 a.m., witnesses and the CHP reported.

The impact damaged the right front of the bus, and the left front of the pickup, witnesses and the CHP said. Driver of the pickup was uninjured.

Another bus was sent by the limousine service to pick up the passengers so they could complete their trip to the Paso Robles area, passengers and the CHP reported.
