Minority And Women Owned Businesses Eligible for Large Contracts

Posted on February 4, 2009 by LCT Staff - Also by this author - About the author

LAS VEGAS — Dan Goff, general manager of A Goff Limo.com in Charlottesville, Va., made it a priority to network with operators at the International LCT Show on minority-owned business contract opportunities.

The businesses can be eligible for transportation contracts with government agencies, schools, and universities, and revenue for these programs can be in the $100,000 range, Goff said. Motorcoach and minibus transportation is usually part of the contract requirements, he said.

A Goff Limo.com is owned by Goff’s wife (Ana Goff), who is Hispanic and eligible for both minority- and women-owned contract programs. While networking with operators at the LCT Show, he found much interest and participation in these programs as minority operators have been bidding for state contracts across the country. For operators interested in learning more and networking with Dan Goff, he can be reached by email at [email protected]
