Women Execs To Lead Issues Forum At LCT-NLA Show East

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.An expert panel of six women who own and lead limousine services will kick off LCT-NLA Show East on Oct. 19 with a detailed discussion of Transportaton Network Companies and other trends affecting the chauffeured transportation industry.

The forum titled “Women Owners' Strategy Panel” will be held Sunday, Oct. 19 from 10:45 a.m. to Noon at Caesars Atlantic City. A free brunch will be served to the first 100 attendees who RSVP.

The experienced panelists will share a vareity of insights on pressing industry issues and concerns. Attendees are encouraged to participate in the discussion.

Recently, panel leader Cheryl Berkman, CEO of Los Angeles-based Music Express, spoke out on the TNC issue at the recent Greater California Livery Association (GCLA) Expo. Other panelists include:

  • Laura Canady, CLT Express Transportation, Charlotte, N.C.
  • Barbara Chirico, Gem Limousine Worldwide, Woodbridge, N.J.
  • Diane Forgy, Overland Chauffeured Services Worldwide, Kansas City, Mo.
  • Stacey Glazier, Fleet Transportation, Alexandria, Va.
  • Kyara Kahakauwila, L.A. Limousines and Transportation Services, Victoria, B.C., Canada

“My focus will be to share my business experience with women, but also address industry issues as Uber, which from my experience is the biggest threat to our industry I have seen in more than 40 years in business," said Berkman, the sponsor of the panel.

LCT-NLA Show East, to be held Oct. 19-21 at the Atlantic City Convention Center and Caesars Atlantic City, will offer more than 40 highly relevant educational sessions. The full schedule of sessions — developed by the National Limousine Association's Show Committee — focuses on helping operators improve their businesses and bottom lines.
