One of the lessons I learned a long time ago in the publishing world was never to think you know more than your readers. That’s one of the reasons LCT conducts reader surveys, including our annual Industry Fact Book, and when we editors are on the road for an event or conference, we schedule “reader calls” to meet with operators to chat and pick their brains about their business and the industry at large. Not only do we learn a lot from the people in the trenches every day, but we use that recon info for articles, news items, and potential session topics for our Las Vegas and Atlantic City conferences.
On that note, we are launching a new initiative to get even closer to our readers with the LCT “Meet The Press” events. These are FREE regional roundtable discussions that an editor from LCT will host to discuss various topics that are top-of-mind with operators and the industry as a whole.
In fact, I will hold our first East Coast Meet The Press event on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in King of Prussia, Pa, a central location convenient to operators in the Philadelphia/ Southern New Jersey metro region. The roundtable will focus on strategies operators can use to grow their business and attract new clients. The session will feature exclusive survey results of the top issues of concern to small- to mid-size limousine operators.
My second event will be held sometime in December in the New York City metro region.
I hope you can join me on Oct. 8 for a great conversation, coffee, refreshments, and a chance to win our raffle for a FULL CONFERENCE PASS to the LCT-NLA Show East at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, Nov. 8-10, plus other giveaways. Space is limited to 30 seats – RSVP today! Email me at: [email protected], or call me at 856-596-0168.
