People! It's time make a choice, or at least nominate operators eligible to be chosen.  I’m reaching out to all of my East Coast friends (and beyond …) to nominate your industry peers (or yourself!) for our second annual LCT People’s Choice Awards.

The awards are the industry’s only peer-to-peer awards celebrating the many positive contributions of industry businesspeople. Winners will be honored on Oct. 20 at a gala dinner and ceremony at Caesars Atlantic City during  LCT-NLA Show East Oct. 19-21.

What’s cool about the awards is that there are many operators in the limousine industry who do good work that elevates everyone, but often are not recognized or choose to stay low key and just do what needs to be done for the greater good. You know who they are, so give us a hand and click here for an easy electronic nomination form to fill out.

Five individuals will be chosen by industry members, so if you know individuals that you believe are deserving of recognition, please take the time to complete the nomination form.  Nominations are being accepted for the following award categories:

Entrepreneur of the Year: A person who has shown a unique pursuit of business, developed a product or concept and/or found ways to expa nd operations.

Leadership Award: A person who has influenced others to accomplish an objective or goal which resulted in positive effects on the o rganization.

Innovation Award: A person who has shown advanced knowledge and use of social media, mobile apps, tech amenities and/or tech-based fleet management or an operator who has started a technology venture.

Carla Boroday Humanitarian Award: Named after the late Florida operator and industry association leader and activist Carla Boroday, this award recognizes a person who has been creative and consistent in supporting a charity to improve quality of life or support a worthwhile c ause.

Gold Star Award: Goes to a Good Samaritan who has gone beyond the call of duty in the spirit of service, acts of kindness, and good will.

LCT has signed on Ford Motor Co./Lincoln Limousine & Livery Vehicles as the official sponsor of the LCT People’s Choice Awards and as the primary official sponsor LCT Show East. Ford/Lincoln has committed to a marquee level sponsorship, the highest available for the national trade show.

The awards ceremony for the 2014 People’s Choice Awards will be held at   LCT-NLA Show East, Oct. 20, 7 p.m. to 9::30 p.m. at Caesar's Atlantic City.  Click here for nomination form.
