Ric Cohen's Limo Digest Takes A Low Road

Posted on November 5, 2012 by - Also by this author

DRAMA @ DIGEST: LCT received word this morning that a mutual complimentary show pass exchange that has been going on between LCT and Digest staffs for years has been canceled by Limo Digest owner Ric Cohen. Digest staffers were comped three passes for the 2012 International LCT Show in Las Vegas in February, which was one month after Cohen's arrest on allegations of first-degree rape and kidnapping. LCT withheld reporting on the recent grand jury indictements of Ric Cohen on those charges, out of respect for Chris Weiss, the Digest staff and the attendees at the Limo Digest Show.

So just in case there are any lingering questions or doubts about this whole sordid spectacle, the below e-mail exchange speaks for itself. There should be no doubt as to who is really running the show at Limousine Digest and the Limo Digest Show.

We have canceled our travel plans and look forward to seeing our industry friends and colleagues at the one limo trade show built to last: 2013 International LCT Show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Feb. 5-7, 2013.

Forward! Believe In LCT!

Hi Martin,

How are you? I heard PR was a good time (and successful).

I apologize for having to send this e-mail so late in the game. Ric Cohen asked me if any people from LCT were coming to the show. When I told him yes (you and Michael Campos), he said that because of LCT’s decision to run the stories on his arrest (10 months ago), he wants to discontinue our exchange of passes.

Again, I am sorry for any inconvenience this causes you. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hey Martin,

No worries. We will set you and Michael Campos up with passes in exchange for a couple of passes in Vegas. Happy to keep that arrangement going.

If Sara decides to go just let us know, or have her reach out to me.

Let me know if you have any questions. Talk to you soon.

Hi Chris,

Just got a call from LD reminding me to pre-register for your Show; are you able to comp Show passes for me and Michael like you did last year? Of course we’ll return the favor for ILCT in Vegas. I’m not sure on whether Sara plans to attend this year. It’s always good to see everyone again, especially in the wake of Tom’s passing.

Best regards,

Martin
