GCLA Takes Right Approach For The Times

Posted on March 9, 2009 by LCT Magazine

Attention: All Northern California and Central Valley Limousine Operators

The Greater California Livery Association-GCLA will be holding its next meeting on March 18, 2009 at Caesar’s Italian Restaurant in San Francisco near Fisherman’s Warf. GCLA President Alan Shanedling will be welcoming all members and guests to an incredible night of information for all limousine operators and vendors.
GCLA Lobbyist Greg Cook and Alan Shanedling will be discussing the latest updates from SFO and their upcoming annual meeting which is open to all operators on March 19. Guest Speaker Scott Solombrino, CEO of Dav El Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation Network, and a board member of the National Limousine Association will be discussing the union-driven card-check legislation that will affect all limousine operators if passed. Scott will also be explaining why operators should be supporting their local and state limousine associations.
The economy is terrible and the results have been seen all throughout California for limousine operators. Operators are failing, losing their vehicles, and seeing a drop from 30-50% in their business. A GCLA Panel Discussion will be discussing survival strategies operators are facing during these difficult times in 2009.
