CONSUMERS DIG IT: Despite financial worries, U.S. consumers still prefer green solutions, according to a survey published in Environmental Leader. With green transportation, 19% think it's important, but 22% actually use it. Recycling is very interesting, too - 87% do recycling even though only 39% think it's important. So it's advantageous to market your green fleet offerings and to educate consumers on your company's green practices - recycling, heat/cooling systems, reducing paper consumption, etc. Most interesting point in the survey: 82% of consumers are still buying green products/services today despite the worsening economy. -- J.L.
