DRIVING DEFICIT: The shortage of limousines at this week's Democratic National Convention has been getting a lot of media coverage - most of it with an ironic slant on how strange it is that a party attempting to represent working and middle class voters would be upset about not having enough limo rides for their convention. Limousine operators providing stretches, buses, sedans, and SUVs at the DNC is nothing new, nor at the Republican convention. It's good business for operators, but it's tough to have enough vehicles ready to work such large events. And you wouldn't buy another 50 vehicles to work party conventions when they won't come back to your city for another 100 years.
